Ivorian striker Lacina Traore.

Monaco striker nets four goals and then gets sent off in crazy French Cup tie

The Ivorian saw red as the five-time winners put 10 goals past St Jean Beauliu.

MONACO’S LACINA TRAORE was in the thick of things in their 10-2 win over near-neighbours St Jean Beauliu in the French Cup yesterday evening.

The Ivorian, who spent a short spell on loan at Everton in 2014, scored four times in 24 minutes before being dismissed along with opponent Yann Mariotti for an apparent exchange at half-time.

“[Lacina] told the other player: ‘Shut your mouth.’ I’ll be very interested to know the justification from the referee,” Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim said afterwards.

Even after Traore’s exit, Monaco still proved a cut above – Fabinho scoring a brace from the spot as they romped to victory.

Quick, alert the English clubs and slap a £30m price on that man’s head. He’s proved himself surely over 45 mins so that must be enough for a big money move to say Newcastle!

Swap him for Berahino, he’s 6ft 8 too so he would suit Pulis
