IT WAS A satisfactory opening weekend in the Championship for Irish players Samir Carruthers and Darren Potter, as newly promoted MK Dons got their Championship campaign off to a winning start.
A 4-1 victory over Rotherham, for whom Paul Green and Aidy White featured, saw Karl Robinson’s side claim top spot in the Championship on the opening day.
Elsewhere, Joe Mason and Anthony Pilkington started, while Eoin Doyle was on the bench, as Cardiff drew 1-1 with Fulham.
