Millionaire NFL star earns extra living working at convenience store

Brian Hartline recently signed a $31m deal with the Miami Dolphins, but is working at the US equivalent of the local Londis.

BRIAN HARTLINE, THE NFL wide receiver who recently signed a five-year, $31m contract with the Miami Dolphins, has revealed that he also works at a ‘drive-thru’ convenience store.

The 26-year-old was being interviewed about his multi-million dollar new deal by ESPN’s Dan LaBatard when he let it slip that, during the phone interview, he was ‘freezing his butt off’ while working at a SmartStop outlet in Ohio.

The conversation, which you can hear right here, went like this:

Brian Hartline: Today I’m kinda busy. I’m working at a drive thru up in Ohio, freezing my butt off.

Dan LeBatard: You’re working in a drive thru?

BH: Yeah, you know, a drive thru convenience store?

DL: Yeah.

BH: That’s where I work.

Reportedly, Hartline’s friend Jesse has been running stores such as SmartStop since he was 15-years-old, and the former Ohio State star decided he wanted in on the action in January.
