The 22-year-old, who scored the winner against Northern Ireland, somehow put his header wide when it looked easier to score in a drab game at the Stade de France.

Poland however, who have only beaten Germany once before, have taken one giant leap to the knockout stages with the goalless draw eliminating Ukraine from the competition with one game to go.

Poland just need a draw against Ukraine on Tuesday evening to secure qualification to the next round, while Northern Ireland also look to book a place in the last 16 when they take on Germany.
