MILFORD JOINED A select group that have retained the AIB All-Ireland senior club camogie championship in dramatic circumstances at Croke Park.
The North Cork ladies had led for almost the entire duration of the 63 minutes and change of a real dour struggle in which defences were completely on top.

Ardrahan threw everything at them in the closing period though and a point from Rebecca Hennelly in the second minute of injury time left just a point between them with one passage of play remaining.
A 45 ensued and it looked like the hitherto unerring Hennelly would make it a second draw from camogie’s All-Ireland double-header. Her shot drifted just wide however and that was the last action of the game. The champions probably just about deserved the win as they had the only real period of dominance in the opening 20 minutes.
Emer Watson scored the game’s first four points but Ardrahan finished strongly and Hennelly converted two frees to halve the deficit at half time.
The forward lines made even less headway after the restart and with player of the match Aisling Thompson, Anna Geary and Elaine O’Riordan leading the resistance, it was Milford that just held on.
