SIMON MIGNOLET HAS been overlooked by Brendan Rodgers for today’s Man United-Liverpool clash, with second-choice goalkeeper Brad Jones coming in in his place.

Mignolet has been punished after a series of high-profile errors, with the 32-year-old Australian stopper Jones set to make his 24th appearance for the Reds.

Meanwhile, Man United have gone with inexperienced youngster James Wilson up front, while Michael Carrick is again ostensibly set to be part of a back three, following a successful stint there for part of their most recent encounter with Southampton.
