Mickey Harte set to stay on as Tyrone manager until 2018 - reports

The legendary manager is already looking to build on this summer’s run to the All-Ireland quarters.

TYRONE MANAGER MICKEY Harte is expected to remain in charge of the Red Hand county until 2018 after he requested a one-year contract extension.

According to reports in The Irish News, the Tyrone county board will meet next month to ratify Harte’s request. His current deal runs out in 2017.

The three-time All-Ireland winner manager has been at the helm since 2002 and this year delivered the county’s first Ulster championship crown since 2010.

Tyrone also secured the Division Two league title in 2016 and will be playing top-flight football next season.
