Mick McCarthy blanks questions about O'Neill and Keane in really awkward press conference

So, Mick seems pleased.

FORMER IRELAND MANAGER Mick McCarthy today refused to join those of us still talking about the appointment of Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane by the FAI.

McCarthy was one of the names in the mix for the job but Association chiefs instead managed to secure a deal with the so-called ‘dream team’.

Today, the Ipswich Town boss refused to answer questions about the arrival of O’Neill and his former skipper Keane.

Asked how he thought O’Neill and Keane would get on, a smiling McCarthy stayed silent for some time before eventually answering: “I’m just a little bit confused about you actually.”

When asked how he thought the new regime would get on in Dublin, he laughed.  Check out the footage:

McCarthy, of course, fell out with Keane in Saipan while the Ireland squad prepared for the 2002 World Cup finals.
