Ratified! Galway confirm Micheál Donoghue as new hurling boss

The Clarinbridge man was part of Eamon O’Shea’s backroom team in Tipp for the past two years.

GALWAY HAVE THIS evening rubber stamped Micheál Donoghue as the county’s new senior hurling manager for next year.

Donoghue succeeds Anthony Cunningham in the Tribe’s hot seat after two years working closely with Eamon O’Shea in Tipperary, who was also linked to the vacancy last month.

As a player Donoghue won an U21 All-Ireland with Galway and helped Clarinbridge to the All-Ireland club final in 2002 before finding success as manager for the club in 2011.
