Done and done! Irish duo David Meyler and Robbie Brady complete permanent moves to Hull City

The midfield pair have signed three-and-a-half year deals.

TWO OF IRELAND’S young football stars have this evening signed for Hull City permanently.

David Meyler and Robbie Brady — both members of Giovanni Trapattoni’s national set-up — have joined the Tigers from Sunderland and Manchester United respectively, the club confirmed.

Both players have been on loan at the KC Stadium and have done enough to impress manager Steve Bruce.

Former Cork City man Meyler has struck three goals in recent weeks and signs a three-and-a-half year deal, as does Dublin-native Brady.

Hull are currently on course for automatic promotion to the Premier League, in second spot behind leaders Cardiff.

“I’m delighted to announce I’ve signed for Hull City on a three and half year deal,” Meyler tweeted this evening. “Looking forward to pushing for promotion starting Saturday! I’d like to thank everyone at SAFC for everything, also the amazing fans for there support over the past 4 years. Special club.”

Is it a good move for the Irish pair?
