A FORTNIGHT OUT from their Leinster SFC semi-final with Wexford, Dublin’s All-Ireland champion trio of Diarmuid Connolly, Michael Darragh MacAuley and Denis Bastick took time to lend their support to Merryn Lacy.
After undergoing an operation to remove a tumour in March, five-year-old Merryn is coming through her third cycle of chemotherapy in the fight against the aggressive cancer, neuroblastoma.
That, however, didn’t stop her getting behind the closed doors of Jim Gavin’s senior county training session this week.

The Merryn Lacy Trust has been set up to aid her treatments of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and immunotherapy which are yet to come.
