Meath's Eamonn Wallace ruled out for the season

The Royals forward is expected to be sidelined for a number of months after damaging cruciate ligaments this week.

MEATH FOOTBALLER EAMONN Wallace has suffered cruciate ligament damage and is set to miss the rest of the year.

The Ratoath forward, who also played for NUI Maynooth in the Sigerson Cup this year, sustained the knee injury during Wednesday night’s U21 Leinster quarter-final replay win over Louth.

Wallace broke into the Royals’ senior panel last year and his absence will be a considerable blow for manager Mick O’Dowd.
