Here's how Michael McKillop and Jason Smyth won World Championship gold yesterday

The Irish pair were in blistering form in Lyon.

IRELAND’S JASON SMYTH and Michael McKillop continued their remarkable winning streaks with gold medals at the IPC Athletics World Championships yesterday.

McKillop smashed his own world record in the T37 800 metres, racing clear to win in a time of 1:57.22:

Smyth was just as impressive in the T13 200 metres, his time of 21.05 equalling the world record he set when winning Paralympic gold in London last summer:

Both McKillop and Smyth will be hot favourites to double down on their success when they compete in the 1500m and 100m respectively later this week.
