Padraig Harrington wrapped up his Open Championship with a round of 72 to leave him +3 for the tournament. Graeme McDowell slumped to a 76 to put him 10 over. Darren Clarke put in the second best Irish round of the day, the 47-year-old carded a one-under-par 70 thanks to a run of birdies on 14, 15 and 16.

TWO BOGEYS AFTER the turn took the heat out of an impressive late charge from Rory McIlroy in today’s final round of The Open Championship in Troon.
The Down man put his Saturday frustrations well behind him with a terrific front nine that brought him to the turn at four under par.
However, a putt for a fifth birdie stalled just short at the 10th and he carded his first bogey of the round at the 11th.
