CONOR MCGREGOR CONTINUED his rise up the UFC’s featherweight ladder last night, making light work of Diego Brandao with a first-round TKO win.
In front of a sell-out crowd of 9,500 at The O2, Dublin, “The Notorious” McGregor caught Brandao with a left hook and forced the referee to step in after just four minutes and five seconds.
The roar which greeted McGregor’s win hit 111 decibels, UFC President Dana White confirmed afterwards — equivalent to a rock concert.

“This is the feeling of success bursting through every vein in my body,” McGregor, 26, said after stretching his UFC record to a perfect 3-0.
“I’ve been saying all week that I’d finish this guy in the first round – I seem to be predicting the future.
“I just felt comfortable – this is what I was put here to do. Something tells me that by the end of the year, I’ll be world champion.”
