Dana White says McGregor will appear in Game of Thrones

A cameo in HBO’s fantasy drama Game of Thrones is in the offing for UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor, says Dana White.

CONOR MCGREGOR WILL appear in hit television show Game of Thrones, according to UFC president Dana White.

McGregor became the first fighter in UFC history to hold two belts simultaneously when he knocked out Eddie Alvarez in November to add the lightweight title to his featherweight crown.

No details of when he will feature in the series or the role he will be cast in are known, but the UFC chief says it will be happening.

“I knew that a few months ago they were interested in putting him in the show and I’m glad he did it,” White told Fox Sports Live.

“It’ll be great. The shows huge, it’s awesome and I’m excited for him.”

McGregor had been linked with a role after a video of him sparring with actor Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, who plays Gregor Clegane, also known as ‘The Mountain’, emerged online in 2015.
