IT WAS COLD in north Dublin this evening, but not cold enough to stop hard man Richie McCaw taking on hard man sport, hurling.

Brought together by their common sponsors, AIG, Dublin stars of hurling and football Johnny McCaffery, Niall Corcoran, Cian O'Sullivan and Bernard Brogan joined McCaw, Owen Franks,Steven Luatua, Jeremy Thrush and Charles Piutau for a cross-code skills test.
McCaw more than held his own on both oval and round footballs with a surprisingly accurate left boot and Franks definitely came up trumps if anyone cared to measure the power put through each ball.
To our eyes though, The Dubs won this round... mostly thanks to Bernard Brogan's natural gifts across all three codes.

Maybe a full contact session tomorrow would even things up.
