PSG ARE REPORTEDLY on the verge of landing their second giant signing of the summer according to a huge report in Spain.
Marcos López of MARCA says that all that is required is for the deal to be signed off by a lawyer, and that “Monaco has agreed to negotiate and the clubs are already exchanging the documentation to make the signing official.”
He adds: “The agreement is complete and there is no going back.”

The fee is believed to be in the region of €179m, with PSG paying €160m plus the near €20m in add-ons that Monaco had initially agreed with Real Madrid.
MARCA also report that, similar to PSG’s capture of Neymar for €220m, Mbappé’s father was heavily involved in the deal, and had agreed terms with PSG on his son’s behalf – a move which it’s believed will expedite the signing in that contractual issues have already been thrashed out.
Mbappé and his family are originally from Paris, and it’s understood that a ‘stratospheric’ salary combined with the opportunity to play for his hometown club was enough to sway him in PSG’s direction as opposed to his initial, favoured option of Madrid.
Mbappé and Neymar are both Nike athletes, and it was reported earlier this week in various Italian and Spanish outlets that the sportswear giants were extremely keen on having him joining their most coveted ambassador, Neymar, at Nike-sponsored Paris Saint-Germain. As to whether or not this would have played a role in Mbappé’s prospective move, which now seems extremely close, is yet to be determined.
Champions League semi-finalists Monaco have been decimated, having already sold Benjamin Mendy and Bernardo Silva to Manchester City, as well as Tiemoue Bakayoko to Chelsea. Arsenal and Barcelona remain interested in Thomas Lemar.
PSG, meanwhile, will continue to spend even should Mbappé sign on the dotted line; it’s no secret that they’re keen on recruiting a big-name goalkeeper, with Atlético Madrid’s Jan Oblak the chief target as per Marcos Lopéz’s report regarding Mbappé.
