FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR’S highly anticipated fight against Manny Pacquiao is expected to be announced before the end of January.
The dream match-up between undefeated American Mayweather and eight-division world champion Pacquiao was first mooted several years ago.
And it appears set to finally go ahead, if Pacquiao is to be believed.
“We will make an announcement before the end of the month. I think it will happen,” Pacquiao told the Manila Standard.
A 2 May bout in Las Vegas appears the most likely.
Reports suggest the venue has been agreed, while there is apparently still disagreement over the split of the purse.
