CASTLEBAR MITCHELS CONTINUED the defence of their Mayo senior football title on Saturday evening with an 11-point win over Aghamore.
A Barry Moran goal was all that separated the sides at the end of the first half, Mitchels leading 1-5 to 0-5.
But the floodgates opened early in the second when Neil Douglas converted a penalty and Castlebar ran out 2-12 to 0-7 winners to book their return to the semi-finals.
They will be joined there by Ballintubber who overpowered Ballaghaderreen in the second half at Elverys McHale Park.
