Rob Hennelly to captain Mayo in FBD League opener

James Horan has handed out a number of inter-county debuts in a new-look side to face NUIG.

GOALKEEPER ROB HENNELLY will captain Mayo in their FBD Football League opener this evening.

Manager James Horan has handed out a number of inter-county debuts in a new-look side to face NUIG.

Eoghan Reilly and Tom King of Castlebar Mitchels, and John Reilly and Mikey Sweeney of Kiltane, are all rewarded for their recent club form.

All four will be involved in the AIB All-Ireland club football championships in the coming weeks. Castlebar Mitchels take on Dr Crokes in the senior semi-finals next month while Kiltane take on Clyda Rovers (Cork) in the intermediate semis on 26 January.

Throw-in at McHale Park is at 7pm.
