Mayo name MFC and JFC sides for this weekend's action

It’s a big weekend for the future stars of Mayo football, with a semi-final and final to be decided.

THE MAYO MINOR and Junior teams to face Meath and Kerry in their respective football championship matches this weekend have been named.

As the minors prepare for the semi-final clash against the Royals on Sunday, manager Tony Duffy has kept faith with the same 15 players that beat Tipperary 0-19 to 1-8 at Croke Park.

MAYO MFC v Kerry: Conor O’Malley (Westport); Joe Geraghty (Ballintubber), Sean Moran (Kiltimagh), Michael Plunkett (Ballintubber); Patrick Durcan (Castlebar Mitchels), Cian Burke (Ardnaree Sarsfields), Kevin Lynch (Mayo Gaels); Brian Mullen (Westport), Adam Gallagher (Mayo Gaels); Eoghan Lavin (Kiltimagh), Stephen Coen (Hollymount/Carramore), Diarmuid O’Connor (Ballintubber); James Quinn (Ballinrobe), Sean Regan (Ballina Stephenites), Shane Hennelly (Shrule/Glencorrib).

Meanwhile, the Mayo juniors take on Kerry in their football Championship final at Cusack Park in Ennis on Saturday.
