Just one current player makes the cut in Martin O'Neill's all-time Euros XI

Shockingly, it’s not Jonathan Walters.

WITH THE BEGINNING of Euro 2016 now just 25 days away, Uefa have been asking fans, players and managers to select their all-time Euros XI.

A list of 50 nominees was selected by the Euro2016.com editorial team, made up of the top players to have featured in the European Championships.

Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill was asked for his selection and the result is a formidable line-up, packed with legends of the game from six different nations.

Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player in the XI who’s still competing at international level. Along with Italian defender Paolo Maldini, Ronaldo is also just one of two players who hasn’t won a winners medal at the Euros.
