An Post rider crowned King of the Mountains at Tour of Britain

Dylan Van Baarle won the General Classification at the Tour of Britain, with Nicolas Roche fifth overall.

AN POST-CHAIN REACTION rider Mark McNally was crowned King of the Mountains at the Tour of Britain on Sunday.

McNally finished safely in the pack on the final day to win the mountain classification on 51 points ahead of Matthias Brandle and Michal Kwiatkowski.

There was late drama on the final stage as Marcel Kittel pipped Mark Cavendish and Nicola Ruffoni to the line in central London.

Overall victory went to Dylan Van Baarle (Garmin-Sharp) who finished 10 seconds ahead of Kwiatkowski in the GC with 2012 Tour de France champion Bradley Wiggins in third.

Ireland’s Nicolas Roche was fifth overall.
