Here are all the goals from today's World Cup final

A mishap meant France took an early lead, before Ivan Perisic equalised and Antoine Griezmann scored from the penalty spot.

FRANCE BEAT CROATIA 4-2 in this afternoon’s World Cup final.

Mario Mandzukic put the French ahead, unwittingly heading home Antoine Griezmann’s free kick in what was the first-ever own goal in a World Cup final.

Ivan Perisic blasted home the ball brilliantly from the edge of the area to equalise, before a controversial penalty, given after the referee consulted with his video assistant, saw France re-take the lead through Antoine Griezmann six minutes prior to the break.

In the second half, Paul Pogba gave his side some breathing space, firing home from the edge of the area at the second attempt, after a lay-off from Griezmann.

Kylian Mbappe made it four with 25 minutes to ho, blasting the ball in from distance, after good work down the left by Lucas Hernández.

With just over 20 minutes left, an awful error by goalkeeper Hugo Lloris saw Mandzukic capitalise, but it was too little too late for Croatia.
