Mario Balotelli's attempt to troll United fans during the Manchester derby lasted 6 minutes

Balotelli picked an awful time to send this tweet.

BY NOW YOU probably know that the Manchester derby finished up in a comprehensive 4-2 win for Man United but you wouldn’t have guessed the final score after the opening few minutes.

City started irresistibly and had a few chances to score before David Silva squared for Sergio Aguero to tap in.

Liverpool’s Mario Balotelli, who played for City for three seasons, thought it was the perfect time to pipe up with a bit of trolling towards United fans.

Balotelli’s social media activity was suspiciously quiet thereafter, as Louis van Gaal’s men netted four unanswered to blitz their city rivals.

A lesson to never send a gloating tweet before a game is over. Even if you delete it, your more Machiavellian friends will have screenshotted the comment to throw back in your face later on.

You’re better off doing your revelling over the phone, where it can’t be traced.
