Kittel: 13 stage wins is a record for a German rider.

Lucky 13! Marcel Kittel sprints to another stage victory at the Tour de France

Dan Martin finishes in main bunch to hold on to sixth place overall.

MARCEL KITTEL MADE it a lucky 13 at the Tour de France as he triumphed in Tuesday’s sprint finish to Bergerac.

The German beat John Degenkolb and Dylan Groenewegen to win his fourth stage of this year’s Tour, and his 13th overall, strengthening his grip on the race for the green jersey.

Chris Froome retains the race leader’s yellow jersey after a day which saw few changes in the general classification standings. Fabio Aru (+0:18) and Romain Bardet (+0:51) stay second and third.

Ireland’s Dan Martin — who was involved in a serious crash during racing on Sunday — finished in the peloton, 37th on today’s stage. He remains in sixth place overall, 1:44 behind Froome.

Nicolas Roche finished in 100th, also in the main bunch.
