Paul Pogba will be missing this weekend.

Injuries mount for Man United as Pogba becomes fifth player ruled out

Jose Mourinho will be without several first-team players for Saturday’s Premier League meeting with West Brom.

MANCHESTER UNITED ARE set to be without Paul Pogba when they host West Brom in the Premier League on Saturday.

Pogba has already missed United’s match against Middlesbrough and France’s games against Luxembourg and Spain since injuring his hamstring in the Europa League tie against Rostov two weeks ago.

The world-record signing will not recover in time to take on West Brom, meaning boss Jose Mourinho is expecting to be without five regular starters against Tony Pulis’ side at Old Trafford.

Immediately after his injury, Pogba — who has already racked up 41 appearances in all competitions for United — thanked supporters for their well-wishes.

Mourinho is already without suspended duo Ander Herrera and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while England defenders Chris Smalling and Phil Jones suffered injuries during the international break.

So we lose four [players] and I think Paul Pogba is also out, so we lose five,” Mourinho told the club’s website.

United are four points behind fourth-placed Liverpool with two games in hand and have not lost in their last 18 league matches.

“The manager is awaiting the return from South America of Sergio Romero, Antonio Valencia and Marcos Rojo before being in a position to finalise his plans for the weekend,” United added in their statement.

@Ger Martin: Ah in fairness to Veron he proved himself plenty elsewhere and he’s still pulling strings in midfield when he toggled out for his boyhood team this season

@Pauric Ó Dálaigh: are you suggesting Pogba has never proved himself? How then, one wonders, could he command a world record transfer fee? This myth that he is a poor player is just that, a myth. He’d make any team in the world.

@David: can you give two examples this season where Pogba has proved the title of the worlds most expensive player?

Anything other than a win will be a disaster. 5 players or not injured. Have to start capitalising

@Teddyzigzagbigbag: Agreed Teddy, home draws against the so called minnows like Stoke, Burnley, Hull, Bournemouth and Liverpool have really proved costly this season :-)

@Sloop John G: I hear ya Sloop. Most of their good results have come away from home. Need a big result Saturday to take advantage of the games in hand.
