Young Man Utd ace Jesse Lingard scores another preseason cracker

The English midfielder uncorks a beauty to seal a 5-2 win for the Premier League champions.

MANCHESTER UNITED COMPLETED their preseason tour of Asia with a 5-2 victory over Kitchee in Hong Kong.

David Moyes’ men, playing in an underwhelming manner for much of their three-week tour, were back to something resembling their best. Michael Carrick and Ashley Young impressed but several of United’s younger generation chipped in with notable performances.

Fabio, who was loaned out to QPR last season, scored a fine goal with the outside of his boot. Adnan Januzaj headed home on 50 minutes to put United 4-0 ahead and Wilfried Zaha was lively throughout.

The young United midfielder had some competition, however, for goal of the game as Lam Ka Wai belted in a thunderous strike to give Ben Amos no chance and slight hope for an Everton-style [2012] 4-4 comeback.

United composed themselves and Lingard picked out the top left corner to seal the contest. It was his fourth preseason goal for the Red Devils.

Lingard scores the seventh and final goal of the match [3:02 in] so feel free to skip ahead if you hate to see rippling nets and anguished goalkeepers.
