MANCHESTER UNITED WERE involved in a plane scare seconds before they were due to land in Germany this evening.
United’s plane was forced to abandon its first attempt at landing at Cologne/Bonn airport just 400 metres above the runway as there was already another aircraft on the runway.
The plane’s second attempt, some ten minutes later, went smoother though that didn’t stop United defender Rio Ferdinand from tweeting about the ordeal:
