Fitness coach Raymond Verheijen has had another pop at how Man United train their players

The Dutch coach thinks Louis van Gaal’s training methods are to blame for the club’s injury crisis.

RAYMOND VERHEIJEN IS a renowned football fitness coach but you probably know him better for his tweets criticising how the top clubs train their players. He was very vocal in how he felt David Moyes’ outdated methods contributed to Robin van Persie’s injuries last year and today he had his say on the current injury crisis at the club.

He thinks Louis van Gaal’s strenuous pre-season program after a World Cup has contributed to the spate of injuries at Old Trafford.

 

 

 

 

 

Obviously Verheijen doesn’t have direct access to the players he is talking about, but some of the points he is making seem pretty logical.
