POLL: United fans - would you rather lose to City? Or win and hand Liverpool an advantage?

All eyes are on Old Trafford tonight.

WITH JUST SEVEN points separating the top four in the Premier League, tonight’s Manchester derby will have a crucial impact on the title run-in.

Manchester United have lost four of the last five against their noisy neighbours and under normal circumstances, they would be desperate for a win.

But if they beat City tonight, it will hand arch rivals Liverpool (and Chelsea) the momentum.

We didn’t think it was a question that needed to be asked but apparently it does:

Manchester United fans – what result are you hoping for tonight?

Poll Results:

A United win, obviously (1262)
Don't care / I'm not a United fan (1112)
A City win - stopping Liverpool is more important (462)
A draw (225)

Well Paul if it means giving Liverpool an edge I’ll be screaming for United. How many times have United been in the position that Liverpool are and hoping for the ‘Pool to do them a favour. Whoever plays against City and Chelsea from here on in I’ll be rooting for them United included. Why lie ?

This is a very United-centric app. Who cares what united fans think, they will soon evolve into city fans once they dominate English football

Well Sean, where were you when the article of Arsenal’s humiliation at the weekend was published?

Always bragging about Arsenal being the best, even you can’t bear to take a hiding that deservedly would come your way.

As a United fan of course I want them to win. And if by miricle they actually do it still won’t hand the title to the Scousers. Liverpool still have to play Man City & Chelsea again albeit at Anfield but I can still see them slipping up against one if not both of them.

There’s no pressure on Liverpool.Liverpool will beat City & Chelsea at home & win the league & United will be knocked off the perch for the coming years. The pressure is on Chelsea & City to deliver. Big spenders with top players who will crumble under the pressure. Liverpool’s job is done getting top 4. There good enough to win the league.

Liverpool will not handle the pressure cause they’ve never been there before whereas City and Chelsea have and know how to win titles .
