Liverpool tear Man City apart in extraordinary first-half at the Ethiad

The Reds recorded a hugely impressive 4-1 victory in the day’s late kick-off.

JURGEN KLOPP AND Liverpool ran riot at the Ethiad Stadium to stun Manchester City with a rampant display.

The visitors were rewarded for a positive and purposeful side as they raced into a 3-0 lead, although Sergio Aguero’s strike just before the interval had given City hope.

Eliaquim Mangala’s early own goal set the tone as Liverpool picked holes in City’s vulnerable defence before Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino then extended the Reds’ advantage.

From the outset, Liverpool dominated proceedings but they were left to rue a lapse in concentration as Aguero reduced the deficit.

The Argentina striker capitalised on a poor clearance from Martin Skrtel before firing past Simon Mignolet from range.

It proved to be merely a consolation as Liverpool held firm after the interval and then sealed the win through Martin Skrtel’s thumping volley in the closing stages.

Leicester are top of the Premier League (yes, you read that right)

And white * so we can’t be classed as a red team.. Only Liverpool and United do. And there’s only 1 real red team… In my opinion of course ;)

United fan. Fair play pool. Not often I say it. Too much cautious football these days. Good to see teams going for it and coincided with Utd finally passing forward today. Hopefully the sign of things to come. Last few seasons have been forgetful

So after losing one of all the away games to the so called top teams United City Arsenal Chelsea Spurs Everton it should be rosey? Right ? West Ham Palace throw spanners in the works. Iron out the stupid results at home now and Champions League could be very possible.

West ham and Palace have been as good if not better than some of the “big teams” this season(so that should not be a big worry for Liverpool fans) throw Leicester City into that and it shows you how competitive the league is. Stoke City look incredibly hard to beat and unfortunately Chelsea will come good.It seems any team can beat any team home or away this season. As a fan it can be frustrating but it’s as exciting as hell.

    Funny wikipedia link up earlier.
‘The Etihad Stadium had been renamed as the “Liverpool FC U19 Training Ground” in honour of “the utter humiliation suffered by the Manchester City first team at the hands of the Liverpool FC first team.
The stadium’s new owner is Reds’ boss Jurgen Klopp while Roberto Firmino was named as the ground’s operator”

    Scouse humour.
    Have to love it.
