MacKay told to jump or be pushed from Tan's Cardiff ship -- reports

The Cardiff City boss was reportedly heavily criticised in an in-house email this week.

CARDIFF CITY OWNER Vincent Tan has reportedly told first team manager Malky MacKay to ‘resign or be sacked’.

The BBC tonight claim to have knowledge of an email sent from Tan to the Scot early this week.

In the communication, the Malaysian also criticised MacKay’s record as a manager, his style of play and his use of transfer funds.

In the wake of Andre Villas Boas’ departure from Spurs, Sam Allardyce had been installed as the most likely Premier League manager to face the exit door. However, tonight’s report from the BBC has made MacKay the odds on contender and it is likely the Welsh club will have a new man at the helm for 2014.
