IT’S NOT UNUSUAL to come across wildlife on a golf course – particularly in South Africa – but a wild baboon is not an animal you would expect to encounter during a round.
However, Luke Donald was forced to scamper away from a wandering one during the second round of the Nedbank Golf Challenge in Sun City this morning.
Unsurprisingly, the Englishman was left a little startled by the incident but it didn’t deter him as he carded nine birdies on his way to a round of 63 and two-shot lead over his compatriot Ross Fisher.

Shane Lowry was playing alongside Donald and had a good chuckle about the whole thing but he remains on level par after a second consecutive round of 72.
