Low-key celebrations: Juve defender plasters jeep in three stars after league win

Paolo de Ceglie better not get stuck in traffic in Milan any time soon after the Scudetto winner pimped his ride.

NO SOONER WAS the ink dry on the records stating Juventus were Serie A winners than their defender Paolo de Ceglie darted out to get a new coat of paint on his jeep.

The left-back was part of the Juve squad that clinched their Scudetto number 28 at the weekend after beating Caliagri.

Injury has ruled the 25-year-old out of his team’s remaining league fixtures but he soon found a way of keeping himself entertained.

His jeep has been embazoned with the national flag colours, similar to the badge that Juventus will sport on their jersey next season.

Three stars

De Ceglie posted the picture on his Facebook page on Wednesday and can be seen leaning proudly on the freshly painted bonnet.

One bone of artistic convention that may seriously irk Juve’s rivals is the appearance of three stars on the jeep.

In Italian football, a star symbolises each time a club wins 10 league titles.

Juventus currently stand at 28 official league wins; two titles were stripped from the club after their involvement in the Calciopoli bribery scandal.

At the end of their league-winning encounter with Calgiari in Trieste, hundreds of Juve fans stormed onto the pitch with banners proclaiming Scudetto number 30.
