The plans include extra seating in the Main Stand and Anfield Road Stand, resulting in a capacity of 54,000.

LIVERPOOL HAVE UNVEILED their exciting plans for the expansion of Anfield, which would lead to the stadium having a capacity of 54,000.

The changes revolve around the redevelopment of the Main Stand, adding 8,500 additional seats and taking its maximum capacity to almost 21,000. The work would also see the Main Stand opening onto a wide public concourse, linking to stadium to the wider Anfield Area.

LFC’s vision also includes boosting the capacity of the Anfield Road Stand by around 4,800 seats.
