Everton 1-1 Blackburn Rovers

Fulham 5-2 Newcastle United

QPR 3-1 Wigan

Stoke 1-2 West Brom

Sunderland 2-0 Swansea

Wolves 2-3 Aston Villa

Welcome to the three o’clocks. None of the real big boys playing in this lot of fixtures but that doesn’t mean there won’t be a lot of intrigue: particularly at the Stadium of Lightin the battle of the Irish managers as Martin O’Neill’s Sunderland take on brendan Rodgers’s Swansea. Two upwardly-mobile teams with pleasing football.

Robbie Keane makes his first start for Villa today, and it’s against his old club Wolves in the midlands derby.

And the 3 o’clocks are off.

And the 3 o’clocks are off.

Good start for the Irish at Villa as Ciaran Clark fires in a cross only for Gary Gardner to head wide. Clark put that on a plate for him.

GOAL! Wolves 0-1 Aston Villa

Darren Bent scores a penalty. The striker earned that too by putting pressure on Christophe Berra.

Two worries for Sunderland early on. Nicklas Bendtner has to go off with a cut head for Conor Wickham before Scott Sinclar blazes over.

GOAL! Sunderland 1-0 Swansea

So much for Sunderland worrying! What a goal! Sessegnon plays a one-two with James McClean before curling a superb, lofted effort around Michel Vorm and into the top corner. Brilliant.

Robbie Keane has a shot blocked from the edge of the area as the WOlves fans are already getting anxious.

GOAL! Wolves 1-1 Aston Villa

Michael Kightly takes advantage of good work from Emmanuel Frimpong before firing home.

GOAL! Everton 1-0 Blackburn Rovers

Tim Cahill finally breaks his duck! Landon Donovan chips in, Cahill heads it home. The relief is palpable.

There was a handball in the build-up to that Everton goal from Marouane Fellaini. So that was lucky.

At Craven Cottage, Damien Duff goes past Yoann Cabaye before unleashing a shot agianst his old club, but Tim Krul easily saves for Newcastle.

Wolves piling on the pressure at Molineux, with Marc Albrighton heading off the line from a Karl Henry effort and Shay Given just about beating away a Steven Fletcher header.

Stephen Ireland is out with a hamstring injury today but Villa could badly do with him at the moment as they need someone to just get their foot on the ball and calm things down. Keane, Bent and Gabby Agbonlahor are all passengers at the moment.

GOAL! Wolves 2-1 Aston Villa

That wasn’t just coming, it was trundling down the tracks at top speed. But not after some controversy. The linesman stopped Wolves taking a short corner. The players went nuts but eventually take the long corner and Edwards heads home.

GOAL! QPR 1-0 Wigan

The first goal of the Mark Hughes era as Heidur Helguson tucks away a penalty after an inexplicable handball from James McCarthy.

GOAL! Stoke City 0-1 West Brom

Given form and circumstances, probably the most unexpected score of the day so far. A Thomas Sorensen howler allows James Morrison to put the Albion in front.

At the Stadium of Light, Swansea probing but Sunderland doing well in defence so far.

Goodwillie hits the post for Blackburn, who have been impressive since going behind.

At Craven Cottage, Stockdale denies Shola Ameobi with newcastle looking much the better team.

GOAL! Fulham 0-1 Newcastle United

And Danny Guthrie makes good on Newcastle’s pressure with an absolute screamer.

GOAL! QPR 2-0 Wigan

And that’s surely curtains for Wigan as well as a first three points for Mark Hughes. Fine free-kick by Akos Buzsaky

Goals in every game so far.

And that’s half-time everywhere. We’re off for cup of tea.

Second halves are off.

This from OptaJoe and perhaps a concern for Giovanni Trapattoni:

10 – Aston Villa have conceded more goals from corners than any other team in the top flight this season. Recurring.

GOAL! Wolves 2-2 Aston Villa

Robbie Keane strikes against his old club for his goal back in the Premier League on his first start back! Totally against the run of play but Keane won’t care. One chance, one goal. A super finish.

Robbie Keane is now the seventh player to score for a record six Premier League clubs. The others are Andrew Cole, Les Ferdinand, Craig Bellamy, Peter Crouch, Nick Barmby and Marcus Bent.

GOAL! Fulham 1-1 Newcastle United

An Irishman – and one particularly close to Keane – involved in another goal. Damien Duff is pushed in the box by Davide Santon, leaving Danny Murphy to send Krul the wrong way from the spot.

GOAL! Fulham 2-1 Newcastle United

What an odd team Fulham are. After an atrocious first half, they suddenly find themselves in the lead within minutes of the second! Clint Dempsey scores his 50th goal for Fulham by bundling the ball home.

GOAL! QPR 2-1 Wigan

Hugo Rodallega with a world-class free-kick (the third of the day) to get Wigan right back into it.

GOAL! Fulham 3-1 Newcastle United

Dempsey scores again, this time with a supreme goal after Zamora’s excellent assist.

GOAL! Fulham 4-1 Newcastle United

What a turnaround. And this time thanks to the fact Andy Johnson was turned over by Krul. The keeper somehow avoids being sent off but Newcastle can’t avoid going further behind. This time Bobby Zamora steps up and smashes home the penalty.

Four goals in 20 minutes for Fulham.

Karl Henry sent off for Wolves for a wild tackle. Another game with a potentially huge turnaround.

GOAL! Everton 1-1 Blackburn Rovers

A deserved equaliser for Blackburn even if this wasn’t intentional. The ball bounces in off Goodwillie.

And a real potential turnaround at Loftus Road too. Wigan will only be galvanised as Ali Al-Habsi has saved Helguson’s penalty. Action everywhere now.

This has been a breathless second half.

GOAL! QPR 3-1 Wigan

So much for the turnaround. That’s surely it now for Wigan as Tommy Smith smacks one into the far corner after a brilliant counter-attack.

GOAL! Wolves 2-3 Aston Villa

What a day for Robbie Keane and what a right ding-dong battle! Another belter. Keane gets it out of his feet in an instant and smashes it into the roof of the net from the edge of the area.

GOAL! Fulham 4-2 Newcastle United

What a day. Another goal and another world-class one at that. Hatem Ben Arfa does his Leo Messi impression again as he skips in from the right and fires in.

GOAL! Sunderland 2-0 Swansea

And that’s quite possibly the goal of the day. Craig Gardner seals with an exceptional, dipping volley from way out!

GOAL! Fulham 5-2 Newcastle United

Clint Dempsey gets his hat-trick after a long sprint from the halfway line and a fine finish.

This from Ken Early

Oh, Robbie Keane. He has just equalled Kevin Doyle’s goal haul for the season in 45 mins against Kevin Doyle’s team. Awkward

GOAL! Stoke 1-1 West Brom

Cameron Jerome hits what appears to be a late equaliser for West Brom, except…

GOAL! Stoke 1-2 West Brom

… Graham Dorrans hits a low free-kick to immediately put West Brom back into the lead.

In the midst of all that madness, we forgot to say, Jon Walters missed a penalty for SToke.

Full-times everywhere now. That was an insane second half. An average of 3.5 goals per game, with seven gone. Still someway off a Premier League record, though, despite the chaos of the second half.
