Welcome to another day of Premier League action. And some might say a very new day after last week’s dynamic-shifting events at Old Trafford.
29 Oct 2011
12:11PM
Speaking of which, Manchester United are currently trying to bounce back from last week’s sensational defeat to Manchester City against Everton. It’s currently very subdued at Goodison Park, a fact possibly explained by the ludicrous kick-off time.
29 Oct 2011
12:20PM
GOAL! Everton 0-1 Manchester United
Javier Hernandez set up Evra after a flowing move.
29 Oct 2011

Tom Cleverley already making such a difference to United. They look so much more fluent again.
29 Oct 2011
12:32PM
United stroking the ball about superbly at the moment, good range of passing.
Rodwell strikes just wide. Everton coming back into it slightly. That is the offset of this United formation – an increased openness at the back. And didn’t we see that last week.
29 Oct 2011
12:40PM
Fletcher takes Fellaini down at the edge of the box. Dangerous free-kick.
29 Oct 2011
12:40PM
Baines steps up…
29 Oct 2011
12:40PM
And in the meantime, we’ll have some relative downtime. For those who like their liveblogs in pairs, we’ve got good news: Miguel Delaney is liveblogging today’s Premier League action, beginning with Manchester United’s trip to Everton – and the massive London derby between Chelsea and a resurgent Arsenal.

29 Oct 2011

29 Oct 2011

HALF-TIME: Everton 0-1 Manchester United
A superb response from United to the events of last weekend but Everton have looked like there might be something in them over last few minutes.
29 Oct 2011
12:49PM
At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea almost took the lead straight away as Cole broke down the left and squared for Torres. The Arsenal defence just did enough to put him off though.

29 Oct 2011
12:57PM

29 Oct 2011

29 Oct 2011
1:11PM
Here’s a thought as both games go under a bit of a lull. When Jamie Redknapp talks about a “top, top player”, it’s a bit contradictory isn’t it? Because, the second “top” implies that a mere “top player” is not quite the very peak of the game. But, no matter how many times you use the word, “top” still has the same meaning: the top of the game.
29 Oct 2011
1:13PM
Tom Cleverley has gone off injured. Not good for United.

29 Oct 2011
1:22PM
GOAL! Chelsea 1-1 Arsenal
Ramsey opens Chelsea up with a superb pass, Gervinho squares for Van Persie and the Dutchman rolls into the empty net. Clinical from Arsenal and you might even say vintage Wenger.

29 Oct 2011
1:34PM
Not to labour this point but United looking like a lesser team without Cleverley in the middle. They’ve withdrawn. Ferguson out on the touchline remonstrating.
29 Oct 2011
