Laois 1-3 Clare 0-7 The All-Ireland champions were unbackable favourites going into this quarter-final but the Leinster side put it up to them in the first quarter. Niall Foyle goalled to put Laois ahead but Davy Fitzgerald’s side tacked on a few consecutive points to now lead it.

Cork seem to be at sixes and sevens in the backline in Thurles. Tipperary have raced into a 2-4 to no score lead.

Wexford 0-6 Kilkenny 2-8 TJ Reid (1-3) has now added another goal to Walter Walsh’s opener and Brian Cody’s side are well in control.

Red card: If Laois were up against it before, they’re certainly facing a long shift now. Left half back tom Delaney was sent to the line for striking but the Banner have not yet pulled away: 0-9 to Laois’s 1-6.

Tipperary 2-4 Cork 1-3 the comeback is on in Thurles. JBM’s Rebels have at last sparked into life with Seamus Harnedy finding the net to make it a four-point game all of a sudden.

Half-time: Waterford 1-8 Dublin 2-6 

If the Déise are going to avoid relegation they’ll have to do it the hard way. Half-back Shane O’Sullivan has been sent off for a foul on Michael Carton and they trail by a point at the break. Paul Ryan scored the first goal for the visitors from a 20m free before Colm Cronin added another before the interval.

Laois 1-9 Clare 1-12 Shane O’Donnell has done what he does best for Clare this afternoon, scoring a goal before the half-time break to give the Banner the lead against 14-man Laois.

Tipp 2-8 Cork 2-8 Cork’s talismanic forward Pat Horgan has levelled it up in Thurles. He dropped in a longrange free to tie up the game. The Glen man will thank referee Barry Kelly for a second chance to make the shot as he was told to retake the free.

Tipperary 3-9 Cork 3-9 Drama at Semple Stadium! Anthony Nash trotted up the field and goaled one of his trademark goals moments before Jamie Coughlan tacks on a point. That strike from the Kanturk man will add more grist to the ‘Nash rule’ debate. John O’Dwyer had scored the third goal for the Premier, not long beforehand.

Half-time: Cork 3-11 Tipperary 3-9 At one stage the Rebels trailed by 10 points but Jimmy Barry-Murphy will address his players at half-time, with a two-point lead. Patrick Horgan nailed two late frees to get the All-Ireland finalists ahead.

Wexford 1-12 Kilkenny 3-10: Brian Cody’s men have started the second half as they mean to go on. TJ Reid took advantage of Matt O’Hanlon not clearing his lines to fire home and bring his tally to 2-4.

Waterford 1-10 Dublin 3-6  The Dubs — with the numerical advantage — are starting to make it count. Danny Sutcliffe found the bottom corner to give Anthony Daly’s side the lead at Walsh Park.

Waterford 1-10 Dublin 4-7 Danny Sutcliffe has added another goal — two inside a minute — and the Déise are staring relegation in the face.

Wexford 2-15 Kilkenny 4-20 This game may well be over effectively but Wexford have managed to find the net again thanks to Rory Jacobs. Brian Cody has emptied his bench with the likes of Henry Shefflin and Michael Fennelly featuring.

Tipperary 3-19 Cork 3-14 The Premier have really taken control in the last five minutes. Conor Lehane pointed for the Rebels but otherwise it’s been all Tipp and they’ve pulled into a four-point lead now with Seamus Callanan scoring the most recent.

Galway 1-20 Limerick 1-12 It won’t have much effect on who plays in the semi-final but Limerick have scored a super goal at the end of a poor enough outing. James Ryan was the man who finished it off.

Laois 2-19 Clare 2-21 Wow! It’s back to a one-score game thanks to a late Laois goal from Brendan Reddin against the All-Ireland champions.
