In case you’re wondering about the Munster Club SHC semi-final between Thurles Sarsfields and Sarsfields, you can find all the details here.

Congrats to Ballyhale!

Here’s a summary of the day’s events:

  • Ballyhale defeat Dicksboro by four points to win the Kilkenny SHC, despite Henry Shefflin missing two penalties for the side.
  • The Leinster semi-final matches will feature Portlaoise taking on Killoe, while Sarsfields will play Ballymun, following the sides’ respective victories today.
  • In the sole fixture in Ulster this afternoon, Crossmaglen earned a comfortable win over St Eunan’s, with Jamie Clarke, Kyle Carragher and Oisin McConville scoring the goals for the eventual winners, who now meet Errigal Ciaran of Tyrone in the semis.
  • St Brigid’s will play Ballaghaderreen in the Connacht Club SFC final, after both teams secured relatively convincing victories today.
  • And finally, in Munster, Thurles Sarsfields narrowly beat Sarsfields, in a game that we liveblogged. The former will take on De La Salle in the final of the competition, after a last-gasp John Keane goal sealed the Waterford side’s triumph.

And finally, a look at some of the days defining images:
