LIMERICK CAME DESPERATELY close to pulling off a major upset against Cork in this afternoon’s Munster senior camogie championship final.
The hosts were level at 0-10 apiece with a minute remaining in Kilmallock but were denied a very first senior provincial crown as two late Katrina Mackey points saved the day for Cork, who were Munster and All-Ireland champions last year.
It’s a 59th Munster senior crown for Cork, who had Mackey in superb form against a Limerick side inspired by Niamh Mulcahy.
