Find out who were the most popular teams on the social networking site in 2012.

ATTENDANCES, SEASON-TICKET holders and jersey sales are just some of the ways of telling how popular a team is.

In the digital age though, Facebook fans can be just as important.

Zoomsphere.com measures Facebook pages by the number of fans a brand has or the amount of people talking about it. Looking through the list, we can find the most popular sports teams in the world. Or, at least, the most popular on Facebook.

For each team, we also found another Facebook brand page with a comparable number of fans to give you a sense of how popular that team is.
