UFC legend Chuck Liddell made a right mess of this interview about drugs in MMA

The UFC’s Vice President of Business Development didn’t do his research for this one.

FOLLOWING A SPATE of failed tests recently, the use of performance enhancing drugs is dominating the headlines in MMA at the moment.

Subsequently it was the main topic of discussion when UFC legend Chuck Liddell appeared on FOX News’ Sports Court programme this week. But ‘The Iceman’ clearly wasn’t prepared.

Liddell, who is currently the UFC’s Vice President of Business Development, stumbled awkwardly through the interview, during which he suggested that fighters are only tested before a bout if they’ve “had a previous issue”.

The former UFC light-heavyweight champion obviously didn’t pay much attention to the news that Anderson Silva, Nick Diaz and Hector Lombard all failed pre-fight tests recently.

Chuck Liddell is one of MMA’s all-time greats, but this wasn’t a knockout performance.
