Miller time for Liam as Brisbane land A-League Premiers title

The former Ireland international’s team were crowned this morning.

FORMER CELTIC AND Manchester United midfielder Liam Miller is celebrating this morning after his club Brisbane Roar were crowned A-League Premiers for the second time in their short history.

Miller, who has made nearly 20 appearances for the Roar this season after joining on a free transfer from Perth Glory, played most of today’s game against Melbourne Victory but had been substituted by the time Luke Brattan scored in stoppage time to give them the Premiers Plate.

The Roar will now take part in the season-ending finals to see who is crowned A-League Champions but with a 12-point regular season advantage over their rivals, Brisbane will be confident of victory in that competition too.

Miller, of course, made 26 appearances for Celtic before a high-profile move to Manchester United. However, that transfer didn’t work out for the Cork man and he drifted around a number of clubs before making the move to Australia in 2011.
