LIAM KEARNS HAS been recommended as the new Offaly senior football boss by the county’s management committee.
The selection of the Kerry native was announced tonight by Offaly GAA and the decision will be brought to the next county board meeting for ratification.

He will replace outgoing boss John Maughan, who was in charge for the last four years.
Kearns led Tipperary to the All-Ireland semi-final in 2016, while he previously managed Limerick and Laois. He also worked as Roscommon coach under John Evans in 2015.
His most recent role saw him take charge of Roscommon side Clann na nGael, who were defeated in the 2021 senior county final.
Offaly reached the Tailteann Cup semi-finals and suffered relegation to Division 3 this season.
Kearns has been appointed for a three-year term, his selectors and backroom personnel will be announced in due course. He was proposed to the Offaly management committee by the specially-appointed sub-commitee of Michael Duignan (Chairperson), Colm Cummins (Secretary), Dervill Dolan (Treasurer), Stephen Darby and Paul Rouse.
