Brady on Scholes: 'Some guys, you think they're intelligent until they start to speak'

The former Ireland midfielder believes the ginger prince is ‘trying to make a name for himself’ by criticising Wayne Rooney.

RTÉ PULLED OUT the big guns as Eamon Dunphy, John Giles and Liam Brady sat down opposite Bill O’Herlihy to lap up England versus Italy.

Discussing the recent criticisms of Wayne Rooney by former Manchester United and England teammate Paul Scholes, Brady was in rare form.

He suggested that Scholes was ‘trying to make a name for himself’ as a pundit. The former Ireland midfielder remarked, “Some of these guys, you think they’re kind of intelligent until they start to speak.” Check out the short clip here:

Meanwhile, Eamon Dunphy joked that he has been measured for the dress he said he would wear as a forfeit if England reached the quarter finals. “I’ve 36cm hips,” he joked.
