Let's play ball: Rovers' trip to Belfield gets the go-ahead

Michael O’Neill’s Hoops will clinch the title again… if they win against UCD.

UCD AND SHAMROCK Rovers’ Airtricity League game will go ahead tonight as hoped (ko 7.05pm).

The crunch clash was called off last night amongst the chaos of the floods in Dublin.

After work by grounds staff at Belfield, the pitch has passed an inspection this afternoon.

Rovers can claim the title for the second year on the trot with a win against the Students. A point and it goes down to the final night of action on Friday.

Across town, Shelbourne’s game against Finn Harps will also go ahead. The Tolka Park outfit can secure their return to the top flight with a win in Drumcondra.
