Ruby Walsh just pulled off a miracle comeback on Killultagh Vic

Earlier, Henry Higgins won the Coral Hurdle for JP McManus at Leopardstown

RUBY WALSH PULLED off an amazing recovery on Killultahg Vic to win the Coral.ie Novice Chase at Leopardstown earlier.

The 2-7 favourite looked to have let the victory slip away before this late surge past Blair Perrone.

Earlier JP McManus saw one of his eight runners, Henry Higgins, win the Coral.ie Hurdle. Trained by Charles O’Brien, the six-year-old came in at 16-1 thanks to a late surge past Bentelimar, who led going into the final straight. Desoto County took third.

“He travelled super the whole way,” said Jockey Robbie Power said. “We didn’t go a mad gallop but he’s got loads of gears. He’s got loads of pace — he barely gets two miles.”

O’Brien may now target the County Hurdle at Cheltenham, which is named after his father Vincent.
