LEINSTER CAPTAIN ISA Nacewa has been pulled out of the starting line-up to face Wasps in the province’s Champions Cup opener against Wasps today (1pm).

The province say the fullback ‘jarred’ his knee during a Tuesday training, but was subsequently named to start in the hope that time would be sufficient to shake the knock off.

Nacewa will be replaced in the number 15 jersey by utility back Ian Madigan – no stranger to late call-ups to cover injured starters – with Springbok fullback Zane Kirchner and Dave Kearney remaining on the wings.

Madigan’s place on the replacements bench is filled by out-half Cathal Marsh.
